Who can be a member?Anyone! The Youth Council programs are open to all youth in the community grades 6-12.When does the group meet?The Youth Council Events Committee (grades 6-8) meets Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm at the NYS Spot, located at 64 Purchase Street. The Senior Youth Council (grades 7-12) meets at the  Newburyport Public Library Thursdays at 5:30-6:30pm. Updates and location changes can be found through our whatsapp group chat. Email tluciano@newburyportma.gov with questions or to join the chat.What do they do?Youth Council programs, with support from NYS staff, work on various projects, campaigns, and events that have the goal of improving the community for the youth and/or families. What that looks like is up to the groups involved and can vary based on interest.
