College Student in Lecture
Who can be a member?
Anyone! The Youth Council is open to all youth in the community grades 6-12.

When does the group meet?
The Newburyport Public Library Thursdays at 5:30-6:30pm. Updates and location changes can be found through our whatsapp group chat. 

What do they do?
Youth Council members, along with NYS staff,  looks for projects, campaigns, and events that have the goal of improving the community for the youth and/or families. Youth Council is a great way to get involved in local issues, and a great way to make change. 

Who runs the group?
The Youth Council is a youth-led group. NYS Staff provides support.

By popular demand, NYS is creating a Jr. Youth Council dedicated to 4th and 5th graders! This will take place at the Nock/Molin Cafeteria
*Our first Junior Youth Council meeting of 2023 will be Thursday January 12th!*
