Young Students in Computer Lab
NYS has been partnering with Seacoast Technology Workshops for many years. For nearly 15 years, Seacoast Technology Workshops has been providing hands-on LEGO Robotics & Engineering and video-game design workshops all over Boston's North Shore and New Hampshire's Seacoast.

LEGO® Robotics and Engineering
Using the latest LEGO robotics technology participants will have an opportunity to explore the amazing world of LEGO(R) robotics and engineering. We will learn about gears, circuits, and computer programming as we design, build, and program a variety of different robotics and engineering projects. Over 50 different projects are available including motorized cars and walkers, remote-controlled tanks, and amusement park rides. Projects are available for all skill levels. Note: Participants DO NOT take projects home.

LEGO® Robotics Masters
Participants will have access to thousands of specialized LEGO bricks including motors, sensors, and so much more! Then, using a laptop and kid-friendly LEGO WeDo 2.0 software, teams will create programs to bring their creations to life! Daily challenges will include amusement park rides, vehicles, animals, and much more! Many new projects will be available for returning LEGO Masters! This is a can’t miss one-of-a-kind program for LEGO fans! Note: Participants do not get to take LEGO projects home.

Scratch Coder
In this fun and action-packed class participants will learn how to program their very own Space Invaders game that can even be played on a mobile device! Each week children will learn to think creatively and learn important problem-solving strategies as they design and program a game that is truly out of this world!

Video Game Programmer
Stop playing video games and start creating them! In this introductory class participants will learn how to program and create their very own video games. We will learn how to create sprites, objects, levels, backgrounds, sound effects and much more as we create several games that can be shared with family and friends! We'll create games with fire-breathing dragons, a game with spaceships and asteroids, as well as a multi-level, customized adventure game complete with zombies, potions, coins, trap doors, and so much more!

Lego Robotics Build and Code
This workshop is designed to develop building and programming skills. Participants will work with LEGO WeDo and LEGO Mindstorms to explore and produce a variety of working models. Have your own idea? Then dig your hands into over 50,000 specialized LEGO technic parts, motors, and sensors to create your own robot. Then use LEGO’s easy-to-use drag-and-drop software to bring your creation to life! Note: Participants do not take projects home.
