These bite-sized events will provide recreational opportunities for even those with jam-packed summer schedules. Join us to get in on a great time; whether your musically-inclined, video-game obsessed, or just have a sweet tooth, there's something here for you!


Agroecology
Work alongside the Agroecology team at Appleton Farms, whose mission is to integrate the best ecological practices with the Agricultural work being done at the farm. We have begun a robust hedgerow project in the fields this year, which consists of long rows of woody shrubs and plants amidst the fields. These help to provide shelter from windbreak, create habitat for pollinators and improve soil health. We need help continuing this project and maintaining these plants.
 
Tasks include: mulching, weeding, moving plants to the site and possibly some planting of new plants and shrubs.

Video Game Night
Showcase your gaming prowess on the big screen at the Firehouse Theater! We'll provide pizza to our gamers between rounds of Super Smash Bros, MarioKart, Just Dance, and more. The only thing you need to bring is your game face.

Lip Sync
Get a group together or fly solo to create and perform the number of your choosing. Serenade us with a ballad, or pick an uptempo groove -- just remember to move your mouth to the words! We'll vote on a winner and award them with many accolades -- including a candy prize. Register online to participate, but anyone can drop-in to be an audience member!

LARP Adventuring - Heroes Academy Games
Step into Heroes Academy® Games, a gateway to the enchanting world of LARPing that promises excitement for both seasoned adventurers and those taking their first daring steps. Led by our expert instructors, you'll find yourself immersed in heart-pounding tournaments and thrilling mock combat challenges, wielding padded foam props for that epic battle adrenaline rush. Anyone can jump right into the adventure because costumes and characters are not required to become a part of this magical experience. LARP Adventure Program’s Heroes Academy® Games are a series of tournaments and mock combat challenges that participants can compete in with padded foam props. These games encourage critical thinking and teamwork skills in addition to being a fun way to exercise.

Summer SCAVR Hunt
This tech-infused summer scavenger hunt adventure in downtown Newburyport, utilizing your cell phone to navigate, solve clues, and discover hidden treasures, combines modern technology with classic outdoor exploration for a fun-filled and interactive experience and great prizes!

Campfire Jam Sesh
Bring an instrument, your voice, or just a passion for music to this Singalong event! We'll roast s'mores and take turns selecting songs to perform (or just listen to, if you're more comfortable being an audience member).
