Moving in the Mornings (Spring)Moving in the mornings is a fantastic way to kick off the day before school. We will enjoy 15 sessions that encourage kids to be active, have fun, and socialize, while improving their skills in basketball, soccer, and big-game play! This routine not only fosters positive habits but also creates a welcoming atmosphere before the school day even begins. We will try to get the kids outside as much as possible. Afterward, we’ll transition the kids into their classes or breakfast, ensuring a smooth start to their day!

Join Mr. Valli, Mrs. Spinney, and members of the high school track team for the Morning Run Club at The Bres on Mondays and Wednesdays. Through games and activities, the club will gradually and safely build up to longer running distances while having fun in a welcoming and supportive environment. Everyone will learn the fundamentals of running while setting goals for both the club and themselves. Each participant will receive a Running Club t-shirt before the end of the program. We will be preparing for the Derek Hines Flag Day 5K!

The goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where everyone can improve at their own pace and gain confidence on the court.Elite Middle School Girls Volleyball ProgramFor dedicated 6th–8th grade girls ready to level up their gameThis program is designed for players with prior volleyball experience who are serious about the court and motivated to improve. Athletes will focus on skill development, game strategy, and competitive play in a focused, high-energy environment.This is not a beginner program—players should come ready to work, be coached, and push themselves and their teammates.Spots are limited. Clipper Volleyball Spring Clinic:  These sessions will give players of all levels and abilities the opportunity to learn and develop skills to play the game of volleyball. Individualized instruction and effective drills will focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Players will benefit from repetition to reinforce skill development and scrimmages to put their skills into action. All sessions will be run by NHS coaches and players.

NBPT Rec has been partnering with Seacoast Technology Workshops for many years. For nearly 15 years, Seacoast Technology Workshops has been providing hands-on LEGO Robotics & Engineering and video-game design workshops all over Boston's North Shore and New Hampshire's Seacoast.Video Game ProgrammerStop playing video games and start creating them! In this introductory class participants will learn how to program and create their very own video games. We will learn how to create sprites, objects, levels, backgrounds, sound effects and much more as we create several games that can be shared with family and friends! We'll create games with fire-breathing dragons, a game with spaceships and asteroids, as well as a multi-level, customized adventure game complete with zombies, potions, coins, trap doors, and so much more!Lego Robotics Build and CodeThis workshop is designed to develop building and programming skills. Participants will work with LEGO WeDo and LEGO Mindstorms to explore and produce a variety of working models. Have your own idea? Then dig your hands into over 50,000 specialized LEGO technic parts, motors, and sensors to create your own robot. Then use LEGO’s easy-to-use drag-and-drop software to bring your creation to life! Note: Participants do not take projects home.Lego Robotics and EngineeringUsing the latest LEGO robotics technology participants will have an opportunity to explore the amazing world of LEGO(R) robotics and engineering. We will learn about gears, circuits, and computer programming as we design, build, and program a variety of different robotics and engineering projects. Over 50 different projects are available including motorized cars and walkers, remote-controlled tanks, and amusement park rides. Projects are available for all skill levels. Participants will have access to thousands of specialized LEGO bricks including motors, sensors, and so much more! The All Sports Clinic will introduce activities to youth who enjoy a variety of sports and recreational games. Youth are taught skills and given the opportunity to compete in a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football and more while also enjoying some recreational games such as dodgeball, capture the flag, matball and more plus use of the playground during break time. The day will begin with active dynamic stretching and plyometrics to focus on balance and coordination. Coach Valli makes sure the children's days are high paced and non stop fun for every child! Coach Valli puts an emphasis on sportsmanship, playing with character and having fun!

NBPT Rec has been partnering with Seacoast Technology Workshops for many years. For nearly 15 years, Seacoast Technology Workshops has been providing hands-on LEGO Robotics & Engineering and video-game design workshops all over Boston's North Shore and New Hampshire's Seacoast.Video Game ProgrammerStop playing video games and start creating them! In this introductory class participants will learn how to program and create their very own video games. We will learn how to create sprites, objects, levels, backgrounds, sound effects and much more as we create several games that can be shared with family and friends! We'll create games with fire-breathing dragons, a game with spaceships and asteroids, as well as a multi-level, customized adventure game complete with zombies, potions, coins, trap doors, and so much more!Lego Robotics Build and CodeThis workshop is designed to develop building and programming skills. Participants will work with LEGO WeDo and LEGO Mindstorms to explore and produce a variety of working models. Have your own idea? Youth are taught skills and given the opportunity to compete in a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football and more while also enjoying some recreational games such as dodgeball, capture the flag, matball and more plus use of the playground during break time. The day will begin with active dynamic stretching and plyometrics to focus on balance and coordination. Coach Valli makes sure the children's days are high paced and non stop fun for every child! Coach Valli puts an emphasis on sportsmanship, playing with character and having fun!

Moving in the Mornings (Spring)Moving in the mornings is a fantastic way to kick off the day before school. We will enjoy 15 sessions that encourage kids to be active, have fun, and socialize, while improving their skills in basketball, soccer, and big-game play! This routine not only fosters positive habits but also creates a welcoming atmosphere before the school day even begins. We will try to get the kids outside as much as possible. Afterward, we’ll transition the kids into their classes or breakfast, ensuring a smooth start to their day!

Let’s play Ultimate Frisbee this Spring! Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, fun, non-contact team sport that mixes elements of soccer, basketball, and American football into one high energy game. Top level Ultimate players require an unmatched degree of speed, stamina, and agility, yet the simplicity of the rules means it is easy and fun for newcomers to pick up. The sport embraces the philosophy of “Spirit of the Game “which means the sport is self-refereed, emphasizing mutual respect between players.  The Spring session of Ultimate is open to all levels of players introducing both the fundamentals as well as opportunities to compete in games.  Most sessions will be in Newburyport but some Sundays will be played in other communities.  We will provide transportation to the games outside of Newburyport. Katara and the kids will focus on learning about gardening, how to properly water, weed, plant, harvest, etc. This will be an outdoor program with the option to move indoors to her classroom if the weather is inclement.

Join Hammer & Stain Newburyport for a fun and engaging spring themed mixed media and STEAM art program. The program is geared toward any artistic level and aims to spark students’ creativity and encourage them to try new designs. This course encourages students to be creative and messy! We will create several mixed media projects over the 6 week course. Themes of the projects include ocean, nature, and space. Using a variety of new and recycled materials, students will use paint, pastels, chalk, watercolor, and more to create colorful and fun objects and pieces that they will assemble and build to create beautiful mixed-media masterpieces. Students will learn art techniques as well as gain spatial, dimensional, and depth awareness in making creative pieces.

Let’s play Ultimate Frisbee this Spring! Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, fun, non-contact team sport that mixes elements of soccer, basketball, and American football into one high energy game. Top level Ultimate players require an unmatched degree of speed, stamina, and agility, yet the simplicity of the rules means it is easy and fun for newcomers to pick up. The sport embraces the philosophy of “Spirit of the Game “which means the sport is self-refereed, emphasizing mutual respect between players.  The Spring session of Ultimate is open to all levels of players introducing both the fundamentals as well as opportunities to compete in games.  Most sessions will be in Newburyport but some Sundays will be played in other communities.  We will provide transportation to the games outside of Newburyport. Everyone will learn the fundamentals of running while setting goals for both the club and themselves. Each participant will receive a Running Club t-shirt before the end of the program. We will be preparing for the Derek Hines Flag Day 5K!

She’s very passionate about this project and looks forward to getting kids involved in these gardens and this program is a great way to do so! Katara and the kids will focus on learning about gardening, how to properly water, weed, plant, harvest, etc. This will be an outdoor program with the option to move indoors to her classroom if the weather is inclement.

Join Hammer & Stain Newburyport for a fun and engaging spring themed mixed media and STEAM art program. The program is geared toward any artistic level and aims to spark students’ creativity and encourage them to try new designs. This course encourages students to be creative and messy! We will create several mixed media projects over the 6 week course. Themes of the projects include ocean, nature, and space. Using a variety of new and recycled materials, students will use paint, pastels, chalk, watercolor, and more to create colorful and fun objects and pieces that they will assemble and build to create beautiful mixed-media masterpieces. Students will learn art techniques as well as gain spatial, dimensional, and depth awareness in making creative pieces.

Let’s play Ultimate Frisbee this Spring! Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, fun, non-contact team sport that mixes elements of soccer, basketball, and American football into one high energy game. Top level Ultimate players require an unmatched degree of speed, stamina, and agility, yet the simplicity of the rules means it is easy and fun for newcomers to pick up. The sport embraces the philosophy of “Spirit of the Game “which means the sport is self-refereed, emphasizing mutual respect between players.  The Spring session of Ultimate is open to all levels of players introducing both the fundamentals as well as opportunities to compete in games.  Most sessions will be in Newburyport but some Sundays will be played in other communities.  We will provide transportation to the games outside of Newburyport. Katara and the kids will focus on learning about gardening, how to properly water, weed, plant, harvest, etc. This will be an outdoor program with the option to move indoors to her classroom if the weather is inclement.

Join Hammer & Stain Newburyport for a fun and engaging spring themed mixed media and STEAM art program. The program is geared toward any artistic level and aims to spark students’ creativity and encourage them to try new designs. This course encourages students to be creative and messy! We will create several mixed media projects over the 6 week course. Themes of the projects include ocean, nature, and space. Using a variety of new and recycled materials, students will use paint, pastels, chalk, watercolor, and more to create colorful and fun objects and pieces that they will assemble and build to create beautiful mixed-media masterpieces. Students will learn art techniques as well as gain spatial, dimensional, and depth awareness in making creative pieces.

Join Mr. Valli, Mrs. Spinney, and members of the high school track team for the Morning Run Club at The Bres on Mondays and Wednesdays. Through games and activities, the club will gradually and safely build up to longer running distances while having fun in a welcoming and supportive environment. Everyone will learn the fundamentals of running while setting goals for both the club and themselves. Each participant will receive a Running Club t-shirt before the end of the program. We will be preparing for the Derek Hines Flag Day 5K!

Our Instructor/Bresnahan Teacher Katara Harding, has recently started the Bresnahan Community Learning Gardens in the back of the school building and they have been thriving all summer long! She’s very passionate about this project and looks forward to getting kids involved in these gardens and this program is a great way to do so! Katara and the kids will focus on learning about gardening, how to properly water, weed, plant, harvest, etc. This will be an outdoor program with the option to move indoors to her classroom if the weather is inclement.

Moving in the Mornings (Spring)Moving in the mornings is a fantastic way to kick off the day before school. We will enjoy 15 sessions that encourage kids to be active, have fun, and socialize, while improving their skills in basketball, soccer, and big-game play! This routine not only fosters positive habits but also creates a welcoming atmosphere before the school day even begins. We will try to get the kids outside as much as possible. Afterward, we’ll transition the kids into their classes or breakfast, ensuring a smooth start to their day!
