High Perception Hoops - High School Boys Shooting St. John’s Prep Basketball Coach Dave Clay along with High Perception Hoops Founder and Brooks Girls Basketball Coach Ben Chase are thrilled to announce that we will be running a Boys and Girls Basketball Clinics this summer. As former teammates at NHS, Coach Clay and Coach Chase relied on the outdoor courts throughout Newburyport to sharpen their skills. They are now looking to raise money through basketball clinics to help improve the outdoor basketball courts for current and future basketballplayers in our community. The basketball clinic will focus on players developing the fundamentals of the game through skill work, small sided games and 5v5 play. Along with learning the skills necessary to play basketball, all coaches will educate campers on the importance of being great teammates, communicating on/off the court with peers, competing at a high level and sportsmanship. It will be a fun learning environment that will challenge your son/daughter skills to help them raise the level of their game to become a complete basketball player. Players will leave camp with an understanding of how to put themselves through a workout along with an array of drills that they can incorporate into their own workouts. This will afford them the opportunity to be in control of their own basketball development.

Newburyport Aikido - Young Adult Aikido Session 1 Newburyport Aikido During Aikido classes, children practice the art of receivingtechniques: rolling, falling, “feeling the body.” Students also learn the art of performing Aikido techniques on partners. We do not practice hitting, kicking or punching. Instead we encourage the development of body and spatial awareness, focus, perseverance, mind and body connectivity. Aikido builds self-confidence and resilience.Above all else, it is a fun way of playing with friends while being physically active.

Sportszone 101 Programs - Pokemon Adventure Club Grades K-3 Since Sportszone 101 began in 2009, we have had one goal at Active Education Inc: to positively impact the lives of students using the power of sports. We know that each program we coach gives us the chance to impart the lessons we’ve learned, whether as athletes, students, or simply humans, to the next generation. We take that opportunity very seriously. And while we appreciate technically skilled athletes, our program is designed to stretch far beyond the confines of athletics.Above all, we value Sportsmanship, Integrity, and Coachability in our students.Though athletics are the primary foundation for the programs we offer, we know the unrivaled importance of formal, in-class learning that the children receive during the day. As such, we tailor all of our programs to reinforce any in-class learning material that we can. In nearly every program, we are able to teach elements of mathematics, geography, biology, kinesiology, and more…Check out their website for more info https://sportszone101.com/ Pokémon Adventure ClubIn this super fun Pokémon class, students will come together to interact with other fanatics to learn all things Pokémon. Students will play an assortment of classroom games such as Guess That Pokémon, Pictionary, and the opportunity to create their very own card!  As if that isn’t enough, this class also focuses heavily on educating the children on valuing their collection, maintaining the condition, in addition to monitoring trades.  From trades to giveaways to battles, this class has something for everyone with an interest in Pokémon!  Students do not need to have their own cards, but they are welcome to bring them if they would like!STEM ChallengesSTEM challenges are activities where students design and build solutions to problems using a combination of science, technology, engineering, and math skills. We will have fun and exciting challenges each week for our students to explore. Some challenges include catapults, ramp making, waterproofing, egg dropping, and so much more! Challenges will range in complexity, but we will have additional activities on hand if students find the challenge too complex. Come learn and explore!

Sportszone 101 Programs - STEM Challenges Since Sportszone 101 began in 2009, we have had one goal at Active Education Inc: to positively impact the lives of students using the power of sports.

Sportszone 101 Programs - STEM Challenges Since Sportszone 101 began in 2009, we have had one goal at Active Education Inc: to positively impact the lives of students using the power of sports.
