World Tour -Early Release Days
NYS is hitting the road for a world tour, exploring the cultures around us on some awesome field trips! Each early release day for the Nock, we'll take a field trip to some new and interesting spots to get a bit of culture.
New England Walking Tour
Our first stop is The Punto Urban Art Museum in Salem, MA, an open air mural museum that has work from artists around the world and aims to break down the invisible barriers in our communities. We have so many cultures that blend together in New England and exploring that will be our jumping off point for the World Tour, and tacos at Howling Wolf will finish out the experience!
India at The PEM
India is the second stop on the World Tour, exploring the South Asain Art exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum. Focused in the 19th century, we will be exploring India's history of foreign occupation, and sampling some tasty food at Passage to India!
Italian Cooking Class
Up next is Italy, and what better way to explore Italian culture than learning to make pizza! To quote a real live Italian, "Pizza is a family food - and Italy is all about family tradition." Join us at Tastebuds Kitchen for a class on how to make this beloved food.
Egypt at the MFA
Our final stop on the World Tour is the Museum of Fine Arts to check out their Egypt exhibit, exploring one of the worlds earliest civilizations through ancient artificats. Boston Shawarma will be the perfect lunch to sample one of the most popular street foods in Egypt!
